Day #7

Those eyes shone, yes it was love
She was waiting for her fiancée to return
To come back to her so that they could become one
Tomorrow when the festivities begin she would not be able to see him till the wedding day. Tonight was it, their last few moments with each other before they became man and wife. His train was to arrive at 10:00 PM, half and hour to go as she glanced up at the wall clock. In about 10 mins she would leave for the station. She checked herself in the mirror, the hair looked good, the bounce was apparent. Her eyes were kohled and dreamy. She checked her watch, was it time already....

Today she was going to the station, no in-laws and no parents. 72 hours to a lifetime of togetherness, twenty minutes to a glimpse of him. The last time he had left he promised her that this was going to be the last spell of separation. Three months had gone by, and they had seemed long enough but somehow these twenty mins were much longer. They were eternity. He had kept his promise to her, it was only last month that the wedding date was finalized. Let day after tomorrow come, she told herself, after that she will never have to wait to see him ever. And why not, she would be with him every single moment. Swimming through these thoughts, she realized that she was almost nearing the station. Her heart skipped a beat, it was five minutes to living her dream...five minutes to melting in the arms of the man she loved.......

She glanced  at her watch it read 11:30 PM. she looked around, it was surprising that the train had not come in yet. Never had the train been this late before. but why were her in-laws and parents here, was it not decided that she would come alone? Why were the standing near a steel box as if it were their own? Wait...wasn't this box his? Was was he nowhere to be seen then? And, his commanding officer, was the commanding officer already here for the wedding? How impolite that he himself had vanished, was this some hide and seek game? She decided to turn around to look for him or at least ask someone where he was? As soon as she turned around she saw him there...calm and peaceful...the martyr.

Day #6

She was sitting in the courtyard
He was just passing by
He looked at her
She gave him a glance through the corner of her eye
He wished to walk ahead, but somthing held him back
She was reluctant to look away
He took a step back & waited for a while
Still looking at her, with a dilemma in his mind
He gathered the courage to walk up to her
Not blinking his eyes even once
Now close enough to her, he greeted her
With a faint smile on her face, she greeted him back
Neither of the two blinking even once
The stare broke when someone from the house called
Her heart went into a sudden dilemma
All of that he could read it on her face
And thats when he realised how beautiful she was
She got up to leave with a sugh
He reacted quickly to say, "Can I have a a glass of water,please?"
Her deep blue eyes were staring at him
A strand of hair falling on her cheek
Adjusting her stoll with a dimple on her cheek
She said, "sure" and she ran inside the house
Seeing her go, he was still struck
With the thought of her beauty, wondering
How can someone be so beautiful
Someone as pretty as a freshly bloomed flower
With eyes as deep as the ocean 'blue'
A smile that he could die for
And hair upto her waist. He thought
God, is she an angel!!!
She missed the threshold when she walked
Bumped into pillars or people, she couldn't tell the difference
She giggled,smiled and blushed at the thought of the man
Who stood near the door
Water? Really is that what he was here for?
The thought tickled her, and she reached the kitchen,
Skipping along the corridor
She never felt this before
Ever, then why today?
She queried, pondered but yet enjoyed this feeling
His voice lingered in her mind
As she thought about him, the glass overflowed with water
She laughed to herself and picked up the glass
Walking through the corridor, thinking about him
Wondering would he still be waiting
She reached the door and there he was
She could she the anticipation in his eyes
She was still smiling. He was still waiting
Giving him the glass, her fingers brushed his
That was the first touch and,
Both simultaneously skipped a beat
He drank as though he had been thirsty forever
His heart beating at jet speed
He was wondering what next and that's when she said...
"Do you need some more?"
 "No, that would be all", he replied with a smile
His warmth radiated, she felt it embracing her
"Do you live here?", he asked to continue the conversation
"No, just visiting going back home day after"
She could see a slight disappointment on his face
A hint of disappointment
But he made sure he did not show
He continued sipping the empty glass
The gesture made her giggle
He was enchanted by her smile
Mesmerized, he wanted the moment to freeze
He wished that the clock would stop ticking
Time would come to a standstill
He wanted to capture every bit of it
And that very moment he felt a tickle in his heart
Something inside him told this is it
She's the one who he wants to be with
She's the one who he wants to grow old with
She's the one to whom he wants to bring all the happiness to
Her smile is something that will be
The most important thing in his life
Collecting his thoughts still looking into her eyes he said
"I know life will not be easy with me
There would be times when things will go miserably wrong
There would be ups and there would be downs
Through all of this I will be standing right next to you
I will make you smile all the time
But there could be times when there's a tear in your eyes
I promise to you that tear will be out of happiness"
Saying this he held her hand and said,
"Will you marry me?"
Shocked, surprised or elated she couldn't differentiate
Fate is something she understood today
He didn't know what she was here for
The hustle bustle in the house today was for her
They were getting ready to welcome a family
Who were coming to see her today
A proposal of marriage by a family friend was discussed since a week
And today it was when the guy meets the girl
Here she was with her best dress on
With her charm that was crude
And here stood a man who was charmed
A proposal waiting inside
A proposal waiting outside
Mentally she worked what would she say
A split second decision of her life
She was sure not to regret
With tears in her eyes, she said...
"Yes"
Today 25 years later sitting in the balcony
Remembering the most important day in their lives
Looking into each others eyes
Feeling the same love that they felt
They promised each other to love each other for another 25 years...

Day # 5

She was strongest girl around or may be She came across to be

She was tough from outside, made up of metal or may be it seemed to be

She would win arguments, She would win battles, She always did

but there was a war She was loosing

a war on within her

A war with him, a war with her love

the only man She ever loved
She wanted him to love he wanted her to be there for him, only be there for him

they were best of friends or so they said so

only thing they shared was the bed

She was filled with love, he was filled with lust

She said to him all my affection is for u

He said to her all i want is ur body

She looked at him with eager eyes,

hoping to a see some ray of love in his eyes.

But like always She was dissapointed.

With a tear in her eye She told her self 

"some day”

Someday he will look at me the way I want him too

Someday I will get the love that I am have been waiting for

He will make me smile like I have never done before,

He will hold me like he has never held me before

“Someday”,

Till then I shall keep loving him unconditionally,

Just the the way I have been doing, waiting for that

“Someday”

Day #4

Life is a silver platter for me they said

It came to me too easy, that all they could see was red

Then I fell in love, her charm ensured the rush,

Yet again it came to me effortlessly is what they fussed,

Life was the new dawn

Little did I know I was her pawn

It was me I had thought

 But for her it was just a plot

Yes life came to me easy.....

Little did they know, it was not just life death came to me easy too........

Day #3

Its that time of the year again, when streets are glittering, people are celebrating
There is life, there is love, disguises are few and warmth abrew
I sit by the ledge overlooking all of this, a thought crosses my mind
Is it my time now, can i celebrate too...
Can I share the love again, can I spread the warmth too...
They called me the phoenix, I was expected to rise,
Little did they know the ashes that I had become,
Had no soul left in me today..
15  years waiting for sunshine, waiting for a smile on my son's face,
A hug from my wife, to look into the eyes of people without guilt,
I wanna walk free now,  is it yet my time to celebrate?
Have I not given up a lot already?
Is it still not good enough?
Why is there a need to brand me?
Am I a lesser human?
I refuse to submit in
I refuse to give up
I will walk free, my head held high
Yes, I Will...

Day #2

There are days when I think of you
Those are the days when everything feels new
Those are the days when everything around feels beautiful
And suddenly life seems more meaningful
My life has got a new purpose since the time you walked into my life
Its my soul that you have touched and made it come alive
You have made me feel happy from within, now I smile for you and with you
I choose to live with you and for you, its a new path to my life
I want to hold your hand, walk with you, stand by you and just be with you
Live with you in these moments and these moments I want to keep for life
Today I just want to tell you 'I love you, I love you with all my heart, i truly love you'
This today is truly enchanting we become US from U and I
I promise to you today to be with you through thick and thin, through the good and bad, always ensuring you smile all the time
I promise to you not eternal love, coz eternity seems time too less

Day 1

This morning when I got up,
All I wanted to do was hold you,
All I wanted to do was hold your hand and walk with you,
All I could think of, was being with you,
All I wanted to tell you is that I love you,
All I could feel was you are the one I wanna spend my life with,
But all that I could see was you walking away
Leaving a note behind saying
"I am sorry"
